Notably influenced by the electronic scene, RE explores the dark sides of instrumental hip hop and mainly focus on heavy and aggressive rhythms that build up the backbone of their pieces. Born in 2002 under the hand of producers David Pieffet & Alain Decrevel, the project is from its beginning completely turned towards the live-act.
Their live shows includes video projections of science fiction or sword movies which transcribe their sound universe on the projector screen.
Re collaborated with MC's American MC’s Blu RUM 13 (One Self), M.Sayyid (Antipop Consortium), Mike Ladd & B.Dolan, singer Jasmine and female croatian rapper Diyala.
Theyare presenting a singular blend of futuristic hip-hop, industrial music and psychedelic atmospheres. With an accurate feeling for melodies stuffed with massive saturated hip-hop beats, RE are navigating in a dark warlike universe that immediately reminds us of Sci-Fi classics, but also reveals a great sense of humour in their use of samples and electronic fiddling.
According to his availabilities, Blu Rum 13 underground MC from Washington can also be on stage. Blu Rum 13 is well-known for taking part in many projects including production works by artists such as Luke Vibert, Mr Thing, Amon Tobin, and DJ Vadim (One Self).
