It is splendidly perplexing to try to place Phoenix’s duo Bogan Via into a single category. With just six songs on their first EP “Wait Up” (released on October 29th 2012 at Flying Blanket Recording), Madeleine Miller and Bret Bender manage to cover everything from pop, to folk, to electronic. It is so delightfully simplistic on the surface and concurrently astutely aware. Their voices are both unique and together they create something so expressive and compelling.
