Cold Wave
Propelled by the imposing presence and bellowing howl of Shannon Funchess, and the strict and melodic EBM synths of Bruno Coviello, Brooklyn’s heavy-weights duo Light Asylum are an undeniable force. Their 2010 self-released ‘In Tension’ EP with singles “Dark Allies” and “Skull Fuct” and awesome accompanying videos, blew everyone out of the water, garnering supporters such as LCD Soundsystem and TV of The Radio.
In 2012 Mexican Summer released their self-titled debut full-length and the band have been spreading their viral cold-wave anthems around the world ever since.
