MR OIZO (Ed Bangers / F) - DJ SET

 

With a fifth movie (Wrong Cops) recounting the crazy everyday life of a troop of inept Los Angeles policemen and a new album that accompanies the movie, released last February on Ed Banger label, Quentin Dupieux is not likely to go unnoticed in 2014. Icon of a generation since his insolent and absurd first hit Flat Beat released in 1999 (yet more than three million copies have been sold!), Quentin Oizo never stopped taking the side roads, alternating as it were schizophrenically the production of extraordinary movies and of innovative sound discs.

Besides four albums and numerous maxis, he has also given us rare but brilliant remixes (Air, Chromeo…), productions for Uffie, scrumptious collaborations (from Sebastien Tellier to Justice, via Marylin Manson, Sebastian and Tahiti Boy) and, icing on the cake, rare and classy appearances behind the decks!
